I grew up in an artistic family. Dad taught us about the workings of color from the time we were young children. We’re all expressing ourselves creatively. As a family, our idea of fun when we get together is going to a museum.  Think of it!

    I’ve lived in Santa Cruz County for the last 30 years, and am an  elementary school teacher. The process of painting with watercolors - the layering of natural pigments, the capture of light playing on surfaces, and the abstractions of forms in nature are some of the greatest fun I have!  If you see me gazing out the window, I’m probably thinking about how I would paint the way the light hits the water, sky, or tree -- just this way.
